Milford Sound is a beautiful, unspoiled and spectacular waterway located in the World Heritage Fiordland National Park, New Zealand, Milford Sound Red Boat Cruises are the perfect way to discover this “eighth natural wonder of the world.”
Milford Sound has been described as a fiord, much like those in Scandinavian countries like Norway, but it is very different from its European namesakes. New Zealand is famed for its spectacular scenery and Milford Sound is a fine example of the wonders of this beautiful country.
A Red Boat Cruise is accompanied by a full commentary describing the history of the sound and its natural wonders. Visitors have the opportunity to see a wide range of wildlife such as seals, penguins, and playful dolphins in their natural environment. The highlight of the cruise is the majestic Mitre Peak and the stunning Stirling Falls that crash down the cliffs into the quiet waters of the Sound.
Milford Sound Red Boat Cruises offer two types of cruise - Scenic Boat Cruise and the Encounter nature cruise.
